What belongs in a plumbing estimate
Plumbing proposals cover the jobs that are too big for a service call quote: repipes, water heater replacements, bathroom rough-ins, main line work. The scope needs the fixture count, pipe material, access assumptions (open walls or not), and what happens to the old material. Water heaters are the classic optional-item case: tankless upgrade, expansion tank, recirculation pump. Put permit and inspection on their own line so the customer sees the city fee is not your margin.

Terms that belong in a plumbing estimate
Promise extended coverage on the bid: saying how long you stand behind plumbing work separates your number from a cheaper one, and it costs nothing on the day you offer it. Put the terms on the estimate and they carry through to the invoice when the customer approves, then start counting down once that invoice is paid. From there warranty tracking keeps the coverage dates, an estimate of the labor and parts you could still owe, and any callback filed against the job.
