Photography Price List Template
A one-page pricing guide you can hand to a client or attach to an inquiry reply. Edit the packages, add your studio name, then print or save it as a PDF. Nothing is stored and there is no InvoiceCraft branding on the sheet.
When the client picks a package, send it as a proposal they sign. Your packages become line items, prints and albums become optional add-ons they tick themselves, and the deposit invoice is created when they accept. Free for 3 proposals a month.
Start a photography proposalWhat a photography pricing guide should include
Three things per package: what the client gets (hours of coverage, number of edited images, locations), how they get it (online gallery, print release, turnaround time) and the price. Keep it to one page. A pricing guide is a filter, not a contract; its job is to let the right clients say yes to a conversation and the wrong ones rule themselves out before you spend an hour on a call.
Packages, not a menu of parts
Three packages sell better than a long list. Most clients choose the middle one, so build the middle package around the job you most want to shoot, price the small one so it is clearly a compromise, and make the top one an easy upgrade. Put prints, albums, extra hours and rush delivery below the packages as add-ons with their own prices.
Say "starting at" when the job varies
Weddings, events and commercial work vary too much for a single number. "Starting at" with a clear description of what that starting point covers is honest and still filters. Sports and school photography work the other way: fixed per-player or per-pose packages, because volume is the business.
Frequently asked questions
Should photographers publish prices?
Publishing at least a starting price saves both sides time. Photographers who hide pricing entirely spend more hours on inquiries that were never going to book.
What is the difference between a price list and a quote?
A price list is your standard offer to everyone. A quote or proposal is a specific price for a specific client, date and scope, and it is what the client signs.
How often should I update my pricing guide?
Once a year, before your busy season books up. Put a year on the sheet so an old copy cannot be held against you.
